The Legal Resources Centre from Moldova (LRCM) in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE) organized the “Justice and Anticorruption Reforms” Forum on 24-25 September 2020 in Chișinău in its second edition.
An independent, professional judiciary, based on integrity, is the antidote to privileges and poverty and is the guarantee for the rule of law. That is why the “Justice and Anticorruption Reforms” Forum is organized every year, so that all actors involved in the justice system participate in discussions and identify solutions.
The Forum was intended to be a transparent and professional platform for debate between key decision-makers and actors in the field of justice, the political class and civil society, in order to identify together the best directions and solutions for justice reform and fighting corruption in the Republic of Moldova. The forum brought together professionals in the field (judges, prosecutors, integrity inspectors, lawyers, etc.), renowned national experts, as well as foreign experts, who shared their experience relevant to the context of the Republic of Moldova.
Following the two days of the Forum, a summary of the main ideas, conclusions and solutions proposed by the participants will be elaborated. It will be forwarded to the relevant authorities and can serve as a benchmark in the development of policy documents in the field of justice and the fight against corruption.
The Forum is organized within the project “Institutional Support for Organizational Development” implemented by the LRCM and funded by Sweden, and within the project “Support to the development and implementation of justice policies in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented by IPRE in partnership with LRCM, with the financial support of the European Union.
