The purpose of the workshops was to enable local non-governmental organizations to capitalize the benefits of the 2% Law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nWorkshops focused on explaining the 2% mechanism (registration procedure, steps, terms, involved institutions) as well as on the use of amounts and reporting. Other topics covered accountability and sanctions applied by responsible bodies, CSOs and taxpayers&#8217; access to information, as well as the opportunity to plan and implement a 2% information campaign that is so important for achieving results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe training sessions were organized within the project &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/old2.old.crjm.org\/en\/promovarea-suprematiei-legii-prin-monitorizare-de-catre-societatea-civila\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Promoting the rule of law in Moldova through civil society oversight<\/a>&#8220;, implemented by the Legal Resources Centre from Moldova with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/old2.old.crjm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/16.-Resurse-Legea-2procente.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">List of resources about the 2% Law is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/old2.old.crjm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/18-09-ppt-2procente-training_SM_IC_NS.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Presentation of the trainers is available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nWe recall that between 1 and 30 September 2018, CSOs <a href=\"http:\/\/justice.gov.md\/libview.php?l=ro&#038;idc=4&#038;id=4066\">can register in the List of 2% Beneficiaries<\/a> by submitting a request to the Ministry of Justice.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nMore details about the registration procedure <a href=\"http:\/\/2procente.info\/ro\/beneficiarii\/cand-unde-cum_19\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 13 and 14 September 2018, LRCM organized two training workshops on the application of the 2% mechanism (2% Law) for civil society organizations (CSOs) from Cahul and C\u0103u\u0219eni regions.
